Do you need to know physics or chemistry to become a doctor?

Hookie22 asked:

I’m in my final year at school and I am currently doing biology, and I want to go into medicine. I have been told that physics and chemistry is really important, especially in the university courses. Is this true?
So… I am hopeless at physics, chem and maths… haven’t done it for 2 years now. I always assumed biology was only recommended, and all the subjects at med school were totally different to what you learn in school. After all, here in Australia there are NO prerequisites for bachelor of medicine courses…

What is the best science to major in college?

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009 | Science | 2 Comments

TROJAN DUDE asked:

I plan on going to med-school and becoming some sort of physician. But what if I end up being rejected from med-school or I change my mind about going to med-school after majoring in a science in college; what science major could I major in that would also help me with other high/moderate-paying careers? For example, would psychology be a good choice to major in?
