What is a good starter physics book?
Tuesday, March 24th, 2009 | Physics
I want to relearn physics. I took high school physics but that was more than 14+ years ago and I barely remember any of it. I have a Schaums Oulines College Physics book that I recieved from my dad but it is above my head at this point. Do you have any suggestions for a good physics book to help me relearn the basics?

It sounds like you’re interested in physics from a mathematical angle,. something I’d guess would start in Newtonian physics.
That was never my thing,. but I love quantum physics books that explore the underlying nature of reality.
A few goods ones are Schrodinger’s Cat by John Gribbon, A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking, and Six Easy Pieces / Six Not So Easy Pieces by Richard Feynman.

This is a very good book, easy to understand, and covers a wide range of general physics. The book is suitable for high school and colleges as a reference book.
More importantly, it contains many examples to help you along the way.
