Why is the ability to solve problems important in the study of chemistry? Why is that that the METHOD used to attack a problem is as important as the answer to the problem itself?

Without an organized game plan to go about attacking a problem, or the scientific method, you’ll be inevitably spinning your wheels, going nowhere.
