Physics Masters are rare from what I’ve heard. So why does a Physics major need a PhD? It seems that a lot of Engineers just get their MS and then enter the workforce with ease. Are there any benefits to getting a Masters in Physics?

I live in Maryland. Does anyone know of regional science competitons?

But what if I end up being rejected from med-school or I change my mind about going to med-school after majoring in a science in college; what science major could I major in that would also help me with other high/moderate-paying careers? For example, would psychology be a good choice to major in?

Hey, so i am a junior and the counselors have been bugging us about our future. Well, at first, i thought of being a surgeon and there is no way to that. However, I am interested in chemistry and biology. I was looking through some universities catalogs and biomedicine seems interesting to me. However, I know very little about it. Does it pay much? Do people look up to it when i say i am studying for biomedical science?

I am giving out awards to my 9th grade Biology students next week at a school wide awards presentation. I am trying to think of some different awards. I am already giving out “Most Improved” and “Outstanding Academic Achievement”. I was also thinking “Most Enthusiastic”.

Can you think of some other awards I could give students that are not just highest grades type thing.

I don’t want anything silly. I don’t want anything elementary school like. It’s a serious awards thing with parents and everything there.
